If life is a bowl of cherries... why not grow some!!

Fruitful Adventure, a prairie orchard, was born on June 4, 2006. Our young orchard will produce superior sour cherries and haskap berries developed by the University of Saskatchewan in one of the most pristine locations on the planet!

The dwarf sour cherry (Prunus cerasus) has been developed to flourish in Saskatchewan's cold northern climate and is the only cherry that is hardy in zone 2b. The haskap berry (Lonicera caerulea) is also very winter hardy making it suitable for a Saskatchewan prairie orchard. Because disease has been minimal thus far and insect problems are low in our climate, we were able to introduce these new Saskatchewan fruits into our Certified Organic production.

We invite you to browse through our site to learn more about these exciting new fruits and join in on the adventure.
